The Dunedin Fireplace operated as The Fireplace for over 25 years until 2010 when it became locally owned and operated by Dunedin couple, Robbie and Pam Gardiner. Robbie had managed The Fireplace over this period of time as their Regional Technical Manager so it was an easy move for him to make, particularly being a born and bred Dunedinite. Having worked in this role since The Fireplace's inception also means that the wealth of knowledge and experience he provides is vast dealing with customers, architects, project managers the process is made easy because of the expertise and professionalism provided. The Dunedin Fireplace offers a friendly and professional service, they are able to provide the complete package from design to building consent to installation just sit back and relax and let them do it all for you. The Fireplace team pride themselves in their knowledge, service and professionalism.
The Fireplace Auckland opened a branch in Dunedin many years ago initially in a very small showroom in St Andrew Street, subsequently moving to Princes Street for about 20 years until they again outgrew these premises, shifting to their current location at 58 King Edward Street. Robbie Gardiner initially began installing woodfires for The Fireplace which gave him a good background into the technical experience required, moving up the line to manage the branc, and finally becoming regional manager for The Fireplace for a number of years. Robbie and his wife Pam took over the The Fireplace in 2010 making it a locally owned and operated business. They are now agents for The Fireplace Auckland who are the importers of niche products Gazco, Studio and Jetmaster.
Along with their extensive range of wood and gas fires they are also exclusive agents for Warmington, Firenzo and are premier agents for our locally renowned escea gas fires. We have a dedicated outdoor courtyard area with operating inbuilt wood and gas fires, also an operating spa pool
The essential profit of this model is heat radiated into the surroundings through the unique Jetmaster radiant and convection system which produces approximately 5 times more heat than a customary begin fire, making it ideal for the cooler evenings.
