The addition of this new equipment compliments our existing fabrication capabilities. Since establishing the company in 1948, Ferrum Engineering Ltd has continued to prosper and equip itself to undertake a expansive range of complicated engineering projects. It has been qualified to achieve this by employing capable and experienced staff and reinvesting capital back into the company for equipment and improved facilities and service. We operate using very safe labor practices and have an enviable Health Safety record.
Equip Supervisors and staff with key responsibilities with the skills to carry out their Health Safety functions. We can make a one off component or produce important quantities of a single item. Communicate with Staff through Health Safety Committee and Team Meetings, and newsletters. Because of the diverse skills of our welding staff we can undertake any size project that is required.
Ferrum engineering facilities enable us to take on any engineering project, large or small. Many components were either made from scratch or re machined to allow the re fitting of the clever Citroen engine. Ferrum Engineering requires all staff to conform with the provisions of our operating policies and their employment contracts. Ralph Watson designed and built his own fuel injection system for the Lycoming.
The management and staff of Ferrum Engineering see safe labor practices and high quality workmanship as key elements in the continuing victory of its business and our customers businesses. Ferrum Engineering Ltd is a locally owned and operated Marine and Industrial engineering company. Ferrum Engineering are proud to be piece of the ABC Workplace Safety Management Practices system. Since the restoration Ralph has regularly competed at Classic and Historic Race meetings throughout New Zealand.
To urge this we have put in store policies, procedures, equipment, resources, and training for Staff, Contractors and Visitors in order to effectively manage health, safety and environmental risks in our workplace. The slipway is only 100m from our extensive machining and fabrication workshops. Our staff are very experienced in all areas of marine maintenance and general marine services. We can come to you regardless of your location or we can undertake your work in our expansive workshops.
It has been suggested that this was the first rear engine race vehicle in the Southern Hemisphere although no documentation has been produced to verify this
