Auto Brake and Clutch was established in 1979 and has been servicing the motoring needs of the public and the trade for over 35 years. With over 35 years in business Auto Brake Clutch is well equipped to oversee almost any job. Auto Brake and Clutch has it’s own in house brake bonding and relining plant with bonded shoes and specialty products being shipped nationwide. All brake hoses manufactured comply with international safety standards and are warrant of fitness compliant.
There is plenty of off street parking so you can depart your vehicle all day if required. At Auto Brake and Clutch we are committed to the maximum standard of mend and customer integrity. Behind the hose is fabricated and the ends are crimped into place, every hose gets subjected to a pressure test of over 300 psis, to ensure each hose is of the utmost quality. We are able to machine disc rotors from your smallest passenger vehicle right up to high performance sports cars and light trucks.
Classic and vintage vehicle brake shoes in high friction are also our specialty. So whether you require a replacement hose for your everyday vehicle or a braided hose for your sports vehicle or motorbike we will have you covered. With two dedicated brake drum lathes we can machine motorcycle, passenger vehicle, light and heavy truck and bus drums. Our service includes brake bands, centrifugal clutch components and motorcycle brake shoes.
Whether it’s a brake master cylinder, wheel cylinder or a disc brake caliper we have a large range of mend kits and highly experienced staff. Auto Brake and Clutch can manufacture brake and clutch hoses in either rubber or stainless steel braided hose. We also have a dedicated test bench to simulate in vehicle operation, which allows us to assess faults and ensure the component is active correctly. We are a proud member of the Vehicle Service Federation and Wellington Cities only member of the NZ Brake Clutch Specialists' Association.
