What you should know about Arden Street House/ Homestay

Bed Breakfast in Dunedin, Garden in Dunedin, Homestay in Dunedin, Boutique in Dunedin

Arden Street House was built in the 1930's by a Scottish sea captain and the house reflects his influence with beautiful stained glass windows depicting sea themes. English Bungalow Art Deco architectural features are visible throughout the house with pretty and characterful ceilings in some rooms, leadlights, oak paneling, and picture rails. Your hosts Joyce and Dave enjoy meeting travelers and hearing their stories in their quiet, comfortable and quirky home. The house has spacious character bedrooms with fabulous views and is well suited to those wishing for the quiet experience, including waking each morning to the sound of birdsong tui and bell birds and the 'whoosh' of kereru NZ native pigeon navigating the surrounding trees.
Arden Street House is located just 3 minutes walk from the beautiful Botanical Gardens , 1 minute from Knox College and 20 minutes walk from the city centre, Forsyth Barr Stadium, University of Otago and Community Hospice

Wonderful B We had the most lovely stay at Arden st house bed and breakfast already behind seeing the store we decided to stay for two nights instead of impartial one as originally planned. Once through the city you'll see a sign saying Left to Timaru or Straight through to North East Valley. Joyce and Dave are very gracious and we had a amazing time to see the town and beaches and instinctive life in Dunedin with them. Joyce and Dave have owned and lived in Arden Street House for more than 20 years with their beloved cats Cutey and tweedy.
I really enjoyed the social dinners, it was a immense way to confront other travelers and I felt like piece of the family after 4 weeks. We stayed here partly because it was accessible to our friend's house in the next street, but also as it had good reviews we were not disappointed. Our en suite room has a queen size and single bed, can sleep up to three guests. It was a great store to get to know people from other places and share stories.
The room has lovely views overlooking our garden and the Dunedin Botanical Gardens. The Lonely Planet says North of the city this gracious home offers an organic garden, recurring leopard theme, irrational artworks, porthole in the bathroom and sociable kiwi hosts this B is a beautiful amazing space. I had a very attractive stay at Arden Street House, Joyce and Dave were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The house was lovely and had lots of character! , and min walk to town Octagon area.
This room has a TV, desk, heater, electric blanket, pretty views over rolling hillside includes a continental breakfast. Feels like home Joyce and Dave are very hospitable and we had a amazing time to see the town and beaches and automatic life in Dunedin with them. Arden Street House offers affordable character accommodation in Dunedin city. Coming from the Airport South Trail the signs to Timaru along the one way system through town.
As a lengthy term Dunedin ite, Joyce can tell you where the locals go for laughter and how to find the very best Dunedin has to offer. We stayed here partly because it was close to our friend's house in the next street, but also as it had appropriate reviews we were not disappointed
